“Peace of Night” talks about coffee-time talks and its romance. Having some coffee at night while hanging out with friends is always a stress reliever from daily routines and work. Or, “A little sweet escape,” said the band.
Musically, its slower, more sentimental tune set some “cooling down” vibes. Especially after the release of two previously hard-hitting singles, “Head on Fire'' and “Awesome”. Pradio, the vocal-guitarist and its writer, said that some southern rock songs from the 70s directly inspired him.
“I always like the sentimental, heartfelt feeling of southern rock tunes. Skynyrd, Allman, and the likes... Those 70s heroes served as my starting point. I even incorporate some slide guitar parts here and there,” he said.
lyrics
I washed my face and surrendered
In the early night
Been looking for light of matters
Slowly came the night
I got some money
Let me throw it all
The angers die away now get old
I am leading my own
Please let me be going on and on
With all of you
As well as able leach this joy
Together
We drink coffee kick the darkness out
Together
We gain freedom from the illness
We have something might
Floating in a peace of night
Please let me be going on and on
With all of you
As well as able leach this joy
Together
We drink coffee kick the darkness
Together
We gain freedom from the illness
Things broke my daily book
Some love took back its good
The foolish over
We got to be a lover
Well, I see him flicking now
Let's say
"We got our night
Tomorrow go blind and young again"
Together
We drink coffee kick the darkness out
Together
We gain freedom from the illness
Oh, Together
We drink coffee kick the darkness out
Together
We gain freedom from the illness
We have something might
Floating in a peace of night

US Stoner Doom / Rock. This singer has such a raspy voice it is addictive! Plus the grooves & beats are just out of this world! Slow & easy... :) Sometimes I need that! Thanks GHB! Highly recommended! bmurator

Somehow missed this release back in 2022. A stoner album at heart with strong prog tendencies. Nothing new here but it sounds fresh and different i know sounds like i'm contradicting myself. Like everything about this release. Takes me back to the seventies. lloydd

For their previous effort Elk Witch took as to a "Mountain" this time they are showing us what lies beyond that mountain and what we find there is more superb The Sword like proto-doom flecked with a little blustering hard rock and metal FDJ (Desert Psychlist)
