Pumpkin Thierry This is so fresh! It's an awesome and personnal musical trip between hard rock, southern rock, garage rock and stoner. I shall have to write a review about this unespected discovery. Favorite track: Undisclosed/Kill Pain, Let Our Mind....
Ioannis Valiakos
Ioannis Valiakos thumbnail
Ioannis Valiakos Seriously passionate rock'n'roll with a pinch of 80s hard rock. The band switches gears and crosses over styles with a masterful ease, delivering an album that is pure fun to listen to. I 'd be surprised if the album doesn't get picked up for a vinyl release soon. Great stuff, check it out today! Favorite track: No Time After Weekend.

Crypt Guard Be prepared to get yourself warped into an electrifying hard rock parallel universe with Igmo's 'Take It Over'. The Indonesian four-piece helms a keen sense for rock music and their debut boasts a very harmonic and distinctive vocal delivery that sets them apart from generic rock 'n roll traits. On 'Take It Over', Igmo switch back and forth between heavy yet loftily atmospheric rock. This Indonesian outfit is definitely one to watch out for in the coming years.

These words "Take it take it take it brother Never waste your time Fix it fix it fix it now Your thirst is your pride" Everyday Never sunday Where's sunday I should get this time My wage, it's nevermind Shit! My head on fire Before worst sets burning down And I feel like i'm dying I wanna survive around this town I will take it, i will fix it all I will, i will, i will let you smile Riding your horse to the garden There's flowers, for my pocket you take it one But sadly i don't know This one for what, my brother? Before it's faded, it's rotten Cause I just need my time Oh hi, help me out Hi, anybody there? What have you got there? Oh sorry Sorry, you can go Go, now! I'm still exercising Becoming a pest, my brother! Before the death comes, this fire Watch this's just begun

I washed my face and surrendered In the early night Been looking for light of matters Slowly came the night I got some money Let me throw it all The angers die away now get old I am leading my own Please let me be going on and on With all of you As well as able leach this joy Together We drink coffee kick the darkness out Together We gain freedom from the illness We have something might Floating in a peace of night Please let me be going on and on With all of you As well as able leach this joy Together We drink coffee kick the darkness Together We gain freedom from the illness Things broke my daily book Some love took back its good The foolish over We got to be a lover Well, I see him flicking now Let's say "We got our night Tomorrow go blind and young again" Together We drink coffee kick the darkness out Together We gain freedom from the illness Oh, Together We drink coffee kick the darkness out Together We gain freedom from the illness We have something might Floating in a peace of night

Well, it's begun when your foot striding Running out to reach your tendency But you forget it, what he had taught Try to remember when you were young that The bloody weirdness guides your foot into the endless route You see the north You see the south You haven't seen the west And also the east You're searching the crossroad and you feel it's near And while you've found it, set yourself to find Another crossroads You never ever reach your goals just because The bloody weirdness guides your foot into the endless route The bloody weirdness guides your foot into the endless route Try to look around you Break some stones You climb You make a hole Or whatever Unless it's possible, learning obviously takes time Try to look around you Break some stones You climb You make a hole Or whatever Unless it's possible, learning obviously Takes time for a stronger power especially mentality Nanananana Nanananana Nanananana Be awake of what we got that The bloody weirdness guides our foot Into the endless route

about

The album theme revolves around its very title, Take It Over. But, what is “it”? About that, the band said, “... ‘It’ refers to anything you can think of. But in a most personal way, you can read it as ‘Taking ourselves over’; fighting, standing, and keep growing our very selves each day. Carpe diem.”

Take It Over consists of 8 lyrically and musically diverse tracks. There are faster, hard-paced numbers such as “Head on Fire” (first single), “Awesome” (second single), “Dark Rhyme” (fourth single), “The Oldbook”, and “No Time After Weekend”. Those tracks make up the “hard rock” label they carry on.

However, IGMO doesn’t stop there. They also recorded three songs outside their aforementioned DNA. “Peace of Night” (third single); a southern-rock tune and “Endless Route”; a contemplative acoustic track represents the slower side of IGMO. In addition, there’s this finale called “Undisclosed/Kill the Pain, Let Our Mind...”, a 7-minute stoner number that showcases their musical direction on their second and third album. (That’s right, they have prepared all of them).

Produced by Pradio Manggara Putra, the album was recorded at Vamos31 Record Studio and Virtuoso Studio (drums only). Yasa Wijaya handled the project as the co-producer, sound, mixing, and mastering engineer. Maria Titin from Hutan Hujan also contributed her vocals on “The Oldbook”.

Visually, PUCATPENA did the artwork for 'Take It Over'. The Malang-based visual artist has done all the previous singles, too.
